We’ve been sold a lie that dieting and trying to be skinny is a valuable use of our time. That it makes us more valuable. It can be tough to even realize those messages are lies because most of us grew up with them since we were young. We don’t know any other way.

But there is another way. It’s called Anti-Diet.

If you’re absolutely sick of the dieting rollercoaster but aren’t sure how to get off the ride, this event is for you.

This can be the start to a whole new way of relating to food and your body, and you don’t even have to leave your house.

Think of this virtual (Mini)Retreat as your Anti-Diet starter pack. It will give you the information, support, and resources to lay a foundation of food and body freedom.

Over the course of the day, we’re going answer aaaall the questions, including

  • What does Anti-Diet really mean? (hint: It’s not what Noom says it is)
  • I’m interested in giving up dieting, but what if I’m worried how that will affect my weight?
  • Is being Anti-Diet unhealthy?
  • What if everyone around me still diets?
  • How do I even get started?
  • PLUS, there’s a bonus Q&A where you can ask any questions we don’t answer during the sessions!

Here’s how we’re going to roll in this event:

  • The Anti-Diet (Mini)Retreat is a virtual via Zoom so it’s more convenient than having to travel somewhere.
  • Pop in to the Meet & Greet on Thursday if you’d like to connect with the event leaders and other participants beforehand.
  • You will get over 5 hours of content plus debrief sessions, so come prepared to learn and be inspired.
  • Make some awesome new friends who are also starting this Anti-Diet journey—you don’t have to do this alone!
  • Learn next steps and resources to build on your new food and body freedom foundation.

9:15 – 10:15am – Session One (Anti-Diet 101)

10:15 – 10:30am – Break
10:30 -11:30am – Session Two (Dismantling the Fears about Being Anti-Diet)

11:30 – 11:45am – Break
11:45am – 12:15pm – Group Debrief

12:15 – 12:45pm – Lunch

1:00 – 2:30pm – Session Three (Riding the Wave: A Technique for Managing Emotions)
2:30 – 2:45pm – Break

2:45 – 3:30pm – Session Four (Intuitive Eating 101)
3:30 – 3:45pm – Break

3:45 – 4:15pm – Group Debrief
4:15 – 5:15pm – Session Five (Body Image Art Workshop)

WHO ARE THE LEADERS?

Our Retreat leaders, Cherie and Lynnly, are not only professionals in the fields of body acceptance, disordered eating, and intuitive eating—we are also recovered from our own struggles with food and body shame. When is the registration deadline?

Registration closes at midnight, September 30, 2022 so that there will be time for us to mail you participant materials before October 8th.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Registration cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the event are eligible for a full refund of all monies paid, minus applicable credit card fees. Reservation cancellations less than 30 days in advance will forfeit 100% of the registration. Should your reservation need to be cancelled by us, your registration may be refunded in full or it may be applied to the following Anti-Diet (Mini)Retreat.
